WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Water temperature in Cozumel oscilates between 79ºF/26ºC and 84º/29ºC all yera long. Visibility underwater can go up to 100ft/30m
Mostly all diving in Cozumel is drift diving. This means you will be dropped at the beggining of the reef and follow your dive master until the end of the dive. Underwater currents are usually not so strong and we pick dive sites that suit our diver’s skills. Pace of the dive is always very relaxed, in many cases no need to fin kick. Our boat is constantly following the group to pick you up at the end of the reef.
Dive sites are chosen on the morning before the dives. Dive Master will evaluate the experience of each diver on the boat and together with the captain considering weather conditions, will decide which reefs are more suitable for the best diving experience for everyone.
Of course, every certified diver started from zero. It’s called Discover Scuba Diving and you will not just learn the basics of diving but you will be able to observe Cozumel’s amazing reefs as well as marine life.
Cozumel’s National Marine Park is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System (SAM for its acronym in Spanish), second largest barrier reef in the world. The reef system is home to more than 65 species of stony coral, 350 species of mollusk and more than 500 species of fish.
